Nightology Records celebrates our 30th release by making status of releases past and releases to come.
Label-honcho Rune RK has especially for this occasion mixed a double compilation album consisting entirely of Danish productions. The majority of releases come from Nightology’s own chamber of treasures, though a few outside releases have been brought in for the occasion. Represented by this year’s DJ of the year at the DDJA is Kato with his new track Soundscape and man of the hour Morten Breum in collaboration with Rune RK.
Rune and Morten’s successful partnership won two DDJA for Nightology Records earlier this year with “Danish Club-hit” and “Deejay favourite of the year, so this is a partnership already sealed in gold.
Nightology also celebrates the 30th birthday of the Compact Disc (CD) by burying this ancient format once and for all.
For 30 years artist have been constrained by the 700mb capacity of a standard CD, but enough is enough. With the majority of music being bought online innovation must take place for the physical media to survive.
The Double-compilation is released on a USB-drive containing all the music packed in two tight mixes by Rune RK – one deep – one uplifting
Strap the album around your wrist. Once the music has found its way to your iPod you can use the extra storage for whatever your heart desires. Always good to have some emergency-pron at arms length…
This night will be your only opportunity to get your hands on the compilation before your neighbour (release is scheduled for October)
